Never used a 3d printer before and your videos have, so far, guided me through. Your technique for levelling seems a little bit different than the official Creality video but it seems you both follow the same steps but in a slightly different order.

I've just purchased this 3d printer a few days a go. I'm having a lot of trouble with it also new to 3d printing been watching a lot of your films on 3d printing. I do have one question to start if possible, is the bar that the goes up and down when you DO the leveling suposed to move up as you print automatically or do you have to do it manually. So far I've been having to do it manually on the screen I've only managed one successful print I also have found out the hot end was oozing filiment aswell and cloggin the nozzles so I've taken this off ordered new parts I literally got it from Amazon few days a go. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jesus.. a few failed starts, and it only then occurred to me that the auto-level isn't perfect and I need to level it at least once.. I think I'll do it a bit different.. namely, if Z stepping is such a concern, I don't see why one wouldn't just use those movement options to move the printhead roughly over different points on the bed. Might just take a little longer, but I think being careful over fast is better here anyway. Gonna give that a shot.

The instructions worked, but I have used both an Anycubic and a Creality with auto levelling, and I wonder why Creality even bothered to put auto levelling on their printer. You basically have to do all the same steps you would do with a normal Creality printer to level it, even with the auto levelling. With the Anycubic, you just auto level and set your Z offset and your done. The whole point of Auto levelling is so you don't have to do all that stuff. It baffles me.
@tubybubi
@tubybubi 11 ай бұрын
You only level the bed once to be aligned to the printer's xyz axis. Then you can use auto leveling.

@Igniferi
@Igniferi Жыл бұрын
After 3 prints the printer have suddenly started jerking and moving way to fast between lines/extrusion, causing insane layer shifts. I went back to all standard settings I tried reinstalling the creality slicer thinking the G-code might be weird. But the Boat print pre-sliced and untouched on the memory card has the same problem. This happens to all my prints now. I doubble checked all the belts and wheels, they might actually be better now than the initial settup. I'm thinking of reinstilling the firmware next. Any tips or thoughs? This is completely ruining my prints.😟

Instead of disabling steppers use the Move X-Y to position the nozzle around the bed. This will take much longer but worth it getting that bed as level as possible.

Apply a drop of silicone grease to the lead screw and run it up and down using the stepper a few times. Then clean any excess from around the brass inset so that your filament doesn't get greasy. Should stop it moving without the stepper.

YOU MISSED A VITAL STEP IN YOUR LEVELLING INSTRUCTIONS! STEP 1: Turn the knobs so that all springs are at or near their middle of compression. If you follow your instructions without doing this, the springs might end up uncompressed and doing nothing! Obviously NOT an engineer. LOL
@CJ0175
@CJ0175 8 ай бұрын
I replaced the springs with the silicone bushes within a couple of days. Tighten them down so 10mm of the thread is visible below the knob, then level the corners, then ABL.

Its crazy how many people that barely know how to use a screwdriver, dive into this and just assume its a plug and play sort of thing. Its not. Its incredibly complicated for people that aren't wired a certain way. My wife is GREAT at gardening, cooking, painting, playing instruments and understanding music - among other things of course. I am good at none of that. Her mechanical knowledge is the equivalent of mine to her expertise. Literally zero. Commenting on these machines with ZERO knowledge is foolish. If you are more wife like than not, do yourself and the community a favor - spend your machine money on Etsy and buy premade prints. lol. Seriously.
