The slicer isn't the best, but heard from many that it is a lot worse on Macs. I do not recall having issues setting my filament in the slicer. However, I am using a superior PC 😀. There is also a Orca profile under the Creality K2 Plus Wiki.

my k2 has been pretty good, i did have to create some macros to get my bed to a better level so the first layer looked better on the face but overall the print quality has been on par and sometimes better than my x1c. the cfs seems to be pretty good too, its a little noisy and for some reason when you boot the printer it runs all the loaded filaments through the loading process so it slows the boot time down. i also ended up adding the webcam feed to fluidd and adding mainsail for the web ui but to answer your question i am happy with the purchase so far.

I was one of the people that commented on your last video regarding this printer (although it looks like my comment is no longer there). I was critical of some of the video, although I truly did appreciate you making it. This time, I'm here for a compliment. It takes a big person to acknowledge a potential mistake and address it. Personally I appreciate that as much, or maybe more, than the videos themselves. That alone is worth a like and sub!!

If you don't like Creality Print 6 then just use Orca Slicer with your K2 Plus. They have the proper profiles in Orca now. I've got 5 Creality machines and use Orca for all of them. My Qidi XMax-3 works with Orca as well (I don't use Qidi Slicer) and my Sovol SV08 works like a charm in Orca natively.

Okay watching this video I see the confusion. I thought the helper script was what you might have been referring to. So just to clarify to viewers now on this video. The K2 Plus is factory rootable out of the box right on the screen (1 minute process). So the helper script is just a script you can make use of after your printer has been rooted. It's a compilation of a bunch of K2 Plus Klipper specific customizations. The script just allows you to easily install those customizations to your rooted printer but isn't a rooted firmware itself. Hope that clears some things up. Can't wait for Guilouz's Helper Script to be finished and released myself because it brings many improvements to the printer.

The belt calibration actually tensions the belt. The following pulls the status of the belt tension. BELT_MDL_INFO MDL_NAME=mdlx The following then targets a belt tension value of 140 by rotating a small motor in the belt path. You can also change the target value to what ever value you want including negative. Ive been using 50 to loosen the belt and minimize the VFAs. BELT_MDL_CALI MDL_NAME=mdlx DIR=1 TEN=140 I've been using Orca Slicer since day one and can even remotely send and start prints using the print button in the prepare tab. I have my own issues with the printer, but they are all engineering pet peeves as far as a consumer grade printer goes this is S-Tier

Been sayin for years their slicers were just bad.... good to see they are constant!

My K2 was DOA. Almost $3k au (with 2x CFS units) and I haven’t been able to print anything. Waiting for a new strain gauge to be shipped. As for the slicer, it doesn’t understand multiple part models. With prusaslicer, if you import multiple parts of a model, it will ask if they are to be considered a single model having multiple parts, and if you click yes, it automatically aligns them. Creality print does not. This is a big issue for a slicer that is for a multi colour capable printer. Hopefully this is fixed sooner than later.

i just learned this, but in the slicer, you have to assign the filament type in the objects tab.. auto map, that will populate filaments 1-4, add a 5th filament for the spool holder, set it up how you want, select the item on the build plate, hit objects, and make sure it's assigned to filament 5, then when you send print make sure to select spool holder.. otherwise it will default to whatever is in slot 1 of the CFS

I read some comments on another video for this that the Windows version of the slicer software has had an update that fixed a lot of issues. That comment said that the Mac version has not yet been released.

Usually need to wait for at least a couple of updates and it will work great I hope. Was same with creality print 5.

I don't know if I like it or not. I ordered mine about a month and a half ago and it still hasn't shipped. But I have been seeing a lot of extruder issues from a lot of people, so much so I'm wondering if I should cancel the order.

Printer companies need to stick to making printers and stop trying to make slicers or should I say install a skin on an existing slicer while trying to lock it down to their printer
