Creality Print 5.1: Does It Deserve To Be Tested? 🤔

A few weeks ago, I released a video highlighting the significant issues with Creality's 3D Print Slicer, Creality Print 5.0, right after its launch. Since then, Creality has rolled out a significant update, version 5.1, and I'm here to give you the scoop! I tested the new Creality Print 5.1 (CP 5.1) to see if Creality had fixed the problems or if any new ones popped up.
Spoiler alert: So far, no other slicer I've tested has the same number of pre-set tests and calibrations as Creality Print 5.1! With tests like the temperature tower, flow rate, max flow, acceleration test, and speed test, Creality Print 5.1 is ahead of all the other current slicers!

There are still some weird bugs in 5.1 but overall its working pretty well for me. The main bug thats been giving me issues is support generation through the support painting tab. Sometimes it works and sometimes it wont generate any supports... also you mention the flow calibration tutorials being wrong between cura and orca versions? Does that mean I've done some math wrong? The way the tutorial explains the math it sounds like it defaults the g-code to 100% flow for the calibrations?

My biggest issue is that I use a laptop and also a large widescreen, going from Laptop screen and then the large widescreen seems to upset the popup windows and they pop up off the screen which means I can't click them and need to crash out of the application.

I notice the same problem when the software stays running for a long time, but I saw this after making this video

DO NOT UPGRADE to 5.1, on top of all being said in this video. it doesn't work i had 4.3 and it worked perfect with stl files and 5.1 doesn't even work with them.

I don't know what version you downloaded, but even the bugged 5.0 work with STL files. I recommend you to download the latest version directly from the Creality web page

@@InventorsGarage well if you keep my unexperienced noob remark its your choice. but to my defence ill say I'm a total noob and I didn't know better at that time. of this comment I just tried this upgrade and couldn't get anything to work and I was kinda bumbed out. so my apologies. however if you're a noob like me and feel the same way please give it time and don't be impulsive like me ...
