"Driving in my car, smokin' my cigar, the only time I'm happy's when I play my guitar". It has always been my favourite line in rock music, since I was introduced to Cream's music in the very early '70's.

I recall seeing Led Zep, Jethro Tull and Santana at the Rose Palace in Pasadena, CA for 4 dollars. Those truly were the days. Sitting at the feet of Robin Trower at the Whiskey watching him play that first album. Watching Pink Floyd at the Hollywood Bowl with spotlights behind the dome creating a false roof listening to Meddle. Having to choose between going to see Otis Redding or The Doors. You could buy a new Gibson Les Paul for $500. Gas was $.25 a gallon and cigaretts were the same a pack.

"Written by Cream's bass player Jack Bruce, "N.S.U." was one of the numbers the band performed on stage from the outset. In fact, Jack had written the song for the band's very first rehearsal. N.S.U. is an acronym for "Non-Specific Urethritis," a form of venereal disease Eric Clapton is rumored to have been afflicted with at the time. The lads, apparently having a bit of fun, thought it would be a good title for the song." Haha!!!!!!

Every song was a drum solo for Ginger Baker. It was what fueled the end of Cream. Jack Bruce couldn't hear himself over the drums so he got a bigger amp to drown him out. Which made Clapton get a very loud Marshall to hear himself. It got ridiculous near the end. They all tried to be the centre of attention. It was the end of Cream.
