That was my Grandfather’s nickname (not sure the backstory of that) but he was a legit character 😂 As for the ride height, raise the credit card limit for Ricky to get a set of drop spindles. I'd also argue a lot larger percentage of swanstroms followers actually will be spending money through these places put on their own hot rods while the larger majority of garrets build street cars at most.. at the end of the day they both helped but neither introduce them to this world.. they were making videos before that just not on the same level..

For your 1st drag and drive I would raise the rear to match the front. If you have no problems with scraping on the road then you can get those drop spindles and level the rear to suit. Much love for Creampuff from Australia.

Spray that Vynal mat with straight purple power cleaner and brush it and it will clean up. Super clean is the same stuff. Or greased lightning from dollar general "budget" !!!!

9:38 I would raise the back up to match the front. I think it helps to keep it looking like a truck. If they get crazy low they just look like a car instead of a truck.

I just got the funkhouser hop up kit too. My shackle on rear leafs have that rubber bushing and it's cooked. Did you guys replace those bushings or not worry about it

Well... my budget suspension mods was 2 plastic footballs stuffed inside the coil spring... 20 lbs on the right 12 on the left, and a Lincoln locked diff....'72 Monte Carlo shuffle. my "drop spindle" came from a propane torch to the springs...Don't get it twisted, I'm glad yall blew the budget to the moon!

I use stock spindles and adjust the ride height with coil overs. that way you don’t lose suspension travel encase you decide to do any low prep racing

If you are going on drag and drive, id raise the rear a little because you can always lower it back down.

i'd leave it that height , its still got more weight to go on the front , plus clearance on a drag and drive would be a benefit, and pre lift cant hurt lol

id go for the billet spindles . might not arive on time though so you might end up running it as is it might still drop a little once you load it up with the radiator nose and other auxilleries wonder if the rest of stuff from mullet fits (brakes too) should be lower as for loading stuff in the back : you could build a removable rack that fits over the bed for the wheels and lockable toolbox (using the stakeholes?), theres still some space in the bed under the cover and with the rest over the top of the cover it should fit ok

Just a thought for more storage. Install a 4 post removable rack in the bed to give yourself another area for storage. Go higher and forget the trailer.

My vote is do whatever you need to keep the weight transfer and instant center where you need it to run the best. Lowering the front for looks isn't as important in my book as performance.

Use degreaser on the floor scrub it wipe off let dry then use some brand of waterless car wash spray on then wipe and let it get cloudy and make sure it’s dry then wipe up. It’s gone take multiple rags to keep from smearing

Run it the way it is, I’m not smart when it comes to this stuff but with the front slightly higher wouldn’t that help with weight transfer and put more pressure on the back tires? So it would help with not shaking the tire or spinning? Don’t come for me I just said I didn’t know much about suspension stuff other then replacing broken parts lol

To clean vinyl floors…just some simple green or purple power and a drill brush. Wipe it down after with a towel or microfiber and you’ll have some spotless vinyl floors👌🏼

I assume Ricky already bought the drop spindles, ha ha. If it would go with your future plans then I'd say go ahead and get them now if you can but if not then leave it and modify it later to fit the needs of the future. Please don't raise that rear. Y'all's style and the way you make it work is absolutely impressive! Just like everything y'all do. I'm so glad you guys have some good youtube momentum and really hope it keeps going. The content, video quality, build quality, people quality, it's all really impressive and great to see. I agree with the others that y'all are definitely one of the best channels out there. Are you going to notch the frame over the rear axle? I would think driving it on the street will need as much bump travel as you can give it. I vote for the lowering front spindles, the rear just looks too awesome.

If you don't lower it, you can put some paddle tires on it and hit the dunes, or go dirt dragging... ... It's probably best you put the drop spindles on...

I did RMRW in 2021 with my C10, no trailer just put everything in the bed. And it was terrible 😂. Having to unload everything into the hotel every single night after you're already exhausted was not great. Save yourselves and get a little trailer 👍

Did you have to c-notch the rear for axle housing travel clearance ? or is this going to be strictly a Radial runner with upward separation, rather than a no-prep Slick type of setup that you want to squat ?

Drop spindle would be cool for sure. I would wait until everything is on the front end first. See if it drops any lower with the additional weight. I'm sure you guys are capable of making the right choice. You have built a couple of race cars before right ? Keep at it Cameron. Ricky seems to have a good handle on things. You guys need to look into Pierburg pumps for your water pumps, they're the baddest units on the market and curb stomp the crap out of the traditional water pump options. They're factory OEM water pumps for BMWs and a few Fords, they're the stock water pump on the last round of Cobra Jets(from 2016 onward I believe) from Ford, so they're pretty proven parts at this point. The CWA400 is the baddest pump they have, I believe the only other pump that can hang with the 400 is the Stewart E2512A('05 Ford GT factory intercooler pump, also a bad unit) but it's bigger and awkwardly shaped. Can't wait for Sick Week, this should be a fun one with all these different new entries like Cream Puff!
