✅️ List of materials ✅️ Dye mixture ✅️ Process of how to apply the dye ✅️ Explanation of what is happening during the process (Acetone evaporating, etc.) ✅️ Showing how to manipulate the colors ✅️ Explaining how and why to lay the disc in the bed at an angle ✅️ Extremely clear instructions overall throughout the entire video No unnecessarily long, boring portions of the video, extremely clear instructions of the entire process from beginning to end, and high video quality. All in under 10 minutes. This is how all dye tutorials should be. Absolute 10/10. This is the video I'm going to send to people to show how this process is done. Can't wait to see more.

Excellent revisions! The exact things I needed to know!!

I noticed your discs have a black disc dye edge when you put them up. Is that using the prochem also? On a spinner or by hand?
@creamydiscs2 жыл бұрын
@@maxwellagans985 Yes indeed! I'll definitely be going over that in a future video. I use a turn table and a jig that centers the disc.

I noticed on the instructions for prochem it says mix with water first. Is there a reason you don’t do that?
@creamydiscs2 жыл бұрын
@@maxwellagans985 I've tried adding hot water to the mix before the acetone and I always get clumping issues when I do.

Great video! Production level was really nice for it being the first on your channel. Lots of useful tips in here. I'd love to see how you get such crisp dyes when you do your half-white dyes, and also how you get the nice ribbon-ish dyes (for lack of a better descriptor). Looking forward to future videos!!

Thank you! I definitely have a few things I want to improve production wise like camera ange for the dye. I think my most requested is my rift style dyes so that may be my next video!

Hey, loved this video as I am a beginner just getting into dyeing! I do have a question. I bought rit dye instead of pro chem, so I am wondering how much acetone should I add to have it work well? Looking forward for more content!
@creamydiscs Жыл бұрын
Hi! I only tried using rit a few times when i first started but I never could get it to work well. I'd recommend getting the PCAD starter set if you can!

I know it's not ideal to re-use glue but what are your thoughts on it? I'm just dumping a lot out and it's getting expensive😂

Love your work. Do you use Rit Dyemore at all? If so, what is the ratio of dyemore to acetone?
@creamydiscs Жыл бұрын
I don't use Rit. I never figured out how to make it look good on gluebeds

do you use heat at all to speed up process? or not so much with it being mixed in acetone?

Love the content and your dyes are always sick! Excited for more videos, it’s always cool to see different techniques! Do you have a preferred yellow dye? I have found that the bright yellow really likes to spread out when using it so it always takes up more space than intended
@creamydiscs2 жыл бұрын
My bright yellow tends to clump for some reason so I don’t use it that often. Maybe an issue with my current mixture of it though. My most used yellow is definitely dandilion right now.

Great video! Makes me want to give it a shot. How quickly do you have to work, as you are working with glue? Do you just let the glue dry into the pan after the process is complete and peel it out, or do you rinse it out right after you remove the disc?
@creamydiscs Жыл бұрын
I will pour out excess glue into an old glue container and what is left in the pan dries enough to peel out in about two days. You can also rinse directly afterward but I found that process annoying and slightly worries about how it would affect the plumbing in my sink.

Can I use Idyepoly that is mixed with water? Can I just add some acetone to it?
@creamydiscs2 жыл бұрын
Some people use a very small amount of boiling water before adding the acetone. But I’d still recommend the mixture be at least 95% acetone
