Kelley your display is beautiful and thanks for showing us your techniques for setting up a churchyard scene, very inspiring. I fell way behind too this year as I set up both Halloween and Christmas , such fun. I am going to start building in July ha ha to minimize the stress.

I like to paint my foam earth brown, then a drybrush-60% white. That helps with realism, then I can add snow / foliage, or not. Sometimes it seems like that system helps setting up AND cleaning up. Love this display!

Hi Kelley, love your videos. I'd love to see a story-time video where you talk about how you got into decorating villages! Your collection is so large. Did you inherit a lot of your pieces from family? When did you start making village scenes? Are you scoping out local thrift shops for pieces? You are so talented!

Thank you so much! I just love this question because I think of my Dad!! My passion for village collecting came from him. He had a display when I was little and I thought it was so magical! I actually do have a video of he and I talking about villages! I just need to edit and upload it. I’ve been trying to think of a good time to do that and you’ve inspired and encouraged me to go for it now!!
