Create a Dragon Part 1 - Sculpting Timelapse

Here is the timelapse from the sculpting of my dragon. There was not enough time to make a full tutorial but I guess there are enough very good sculpting tutorials out there ;)

So then it's safe to say pre-sculpting is just like blocking out the mesh and then sculpting is touching it up and adding the details?

I'm trying to follow this with my own dragon, but I get confused when you start doing the wing at 0:28. You duplicate one more time, but then the ball vanishes and I just see two extruded lines. What did you do there? 😅

How did you make the base mesh for the sculpting?

Just vertices with a skin modifier :)

With CTRL+A! Its a little bit counterintuitive because with curve objects its ALT+S but whatever ;)

Absolutely stunning work! I must ask, when you come to sculpting the skinned meshes, how do you go about joining them up? Do you just Boolean them together and sculpt after or something else?

i think hes parenting them, not sure but i guess

This is just a square black/white texture that I loaded into the texture section in the brush settings.
