I came here because I've been having the hardest time using PNG/JPG images for mockups. I am good with Photoshop but the spine has always given me so much trouble. This video and the templates are literally the only things I'll ever need again. I can now use ANY image to create a mock up. Paid, free, Canva, Photoshop and so on. Thanks so much for this. I spent several hours today learning this (quite slow - I know, but I'm not giving up). I managed to create 8 cover mock ups today. There were a few hurdles for me as I'm not very tech savvy. "For some reason, it does this weird thing." LOL, that used to drive me nuts. Pro tip: hold the CTRL (Command for Apple) button, then click on your element and drag. The CONTROL button literally gives you "control" of where the element is going, so that it doesn't snap into frames or along guidelines. Be sure to release the mouse button *before* you release the CTRL button.

The book spin shadow does not work when on front cover on smart mockups on canva which is frustrating it dissappears which I don't get because once you download it as png it's part of the image
