Did you peel one side of the cardboard for the side part of the box? I try to peel it off but it didn't come out clean. Any trick please?

Hi, yes I call it paper bleed it is a bit annoying to make but super easy to put hot glue on and hide corrugated edges of cardboard. Here is a video of making paper bleed kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJjEpWSYds2eopY

some cardboard has a very strong glue and it doesn't peel off easily, but I have it only once I believe it was lining sheets for skids. Most packaging boxes like Amazon peels of pretty easily.

Hi Shirin, no special cardboard needed, I always reuse old boxes. This time it was signage box from local print shop. Mostly I use hot glue gun, it bonds cardboard well and fast.

Hi, there is no particular size for this project. It can be any size or shape. I just drew one by hand. Same with the height of the box - choose whatever tall you want it and split that number on a half to make bottom side and top side equal or make bottom 2/3 and top 1/3 of your total box height

Yes, top and bottom heart shapes are totaly identical

@@ReuseandPlay are you sure, they are the same size, 'cause the lid is bigger than the bottom box right?

In this case they both are the same. Pause video around 3.40 you will see top and bottom parts are perfectly aligned. Because I use paper bleed so cardboard thickness 'goes' inside the box (paper bleed forms when corrugated texture on seams are removed leaving only paper layer)
