Create a Linked Picture in Excel

Did you know you could make your Excel charts into a picture? Wait...isn't a chart sort of a picture?? Why would I want to make an chart a picture? Lets say that you want to share your worksheet but didn't want to easily give someone the ability to fiddle with the chart or the the chart source. You would then "take" a picture of your chart source and hide the chart and source table. Well that doesn't sound like something new...but what if that picture was dynamic? Let's say that you change some data in the table. Of course the chart would change, but what about a picture? Why yes, if you had created a linked picture, that picture would "change" too! It almost seems like magic and you may be asking: HOW do you do that?? Well stop reading and check out the video...

Nice video! Right now I'm looking for something a bit different. Let's say you have a linked picture. In the formula bar you have the address of the cells the picture is linked to. But what if I would like to control this address with other cells. Namely, I would like to type e.g. the number of a row that is to be showed in the linked picture but not in the formula bar, but in some other cells of the spreadsheet. I've tried the address formula and the indirect formula, but they don't work :(
