A speed recogntion Streamlit-App connected with a trained huggingface dialogue-model would be cool.. 🤔

Interesting video! Just one thing about the wake up command, I think it's not optimal, is it? I guess there should be a more efficient way than converting ever input to check it (maybe check the sound wave itself instead of sending all to the google speech to text). I guess it would use way too much battery if assistants like siri would do this constantly or do I assume this wrong?

yes very good observation! I did not want to make it more complicated here since the video is already 30 min, but yeah you are right. This should be optimized if it is used heavily...

@@patloeber Appreciate your answer (and all your content :D), yeah sounds reasonable. I would love to see a separate video about implementing a Neural Network (or something else?) to improve it further. And for a next step would be even cooler to actually see you deploy it on mobile to be used in the background like siri/google assistant.

thanks for the interesting video. I guess instead of running it all the time, you could just create a bat file and then a keyboard shortcut to quickly run the file and say what u need to say. I was also thinking that this could easily be run through wox as well.

I recommend checking out OpenAI's Whisper model for even better speech recognition, great for both dictation and translation. Makes for a decent voice assistant too. ;D
