Check out the "js_mouse editing" tools in both arrange and midi editor.

enable pencil tool. and try different digital stylus pens on your touchscreen if you have one. You can draw it in with a stylus. I was looking to see if anyone had done this yet, and cannot find anything on it. thanks, i couldn't find pencil tool in the actions list , i did not know how to do this.

you need to download and install SWS extensions: www.sws-extension.org/
