Power BI recently updated their API library to introduce the ability to create Power BI reports directly in Jupyter notebook. In this tutorial, I will walk you through every single step from install Jupyter notebook all the way to creating a Power BI report.

This is eye opening. I am new to notebook and I am daily getting excited about its capabilities. I have a requirement to use notebook to connect to a remote server with python installed. Basically, users need to access the platform via the jupyter browser page see data in read only format, run their analyses without ever downloading the data or exporting graphical outputs. How can I accomplish this?

Hi, thank you very much for this awesome tutorial, while I tried to connect to my Microsoft account, I got this warning: "You can't sign in here with a personal account. Use your work or school account instead.", this happened both while using interactive or DeviceCode. I even tried to login in with two accounts but still no luck. Any advice sir?

Technically you only need the log once until you reset the session. Hard to tell what's the issue.

You don't need an organization account, however, you will need a Power BI license subscription like Power BI Pro.
