This is absolutly amazing. The only thing i would add to this program is tracking scan lines. Edit: Ive used ntscQT before, it does not have an option to add tracking static lines. When i said scan lines before, i meant those white lines that randomly pop up on VHS video when dirt gets on the magnetic tape.

There is actually a better progam called NTSC-RS which is a port of NTSCqt and it has way more settings and more customisation. It's also more realistic (with the correct settings atleast). It would be really nice if you did a video on it so more people will know about it.

That's really cool, I was actually considering writing a program like that myself, for exactly the purpose of just adding realistic VHS effects to video. Yeah, this little program does produce the best VHS effects I've seen so far, much better than those after effects and premiere templates do. Also, it can give images VHS look which is what I am looking for. I just want some images to look like VHS instead of some videos so I really dont want to use AE or Pr and in Photoshop it is just not that convenient to do. The code for this program is actually based around a algorithm that was used for removing VHS artifacts. I don't know if there's a program out there to do the reverse of what NTSCQT does though ...

You dont need to download or do any of this. Just get a vga to rca adapter, record your computers output to a vhs tape, then convert that vhs to dvd then to a sd card which u can then put in ur pc.

Not many people want to go through all of that to get an effect. Even if ntscqt isn't 100% accurate it still is very convincing.
