The hardest part of this tutorial was figuring out why by lighting looked so different from his before he showed us how to set up the environment and adjust the Eevee settings. I didn't know that LookDev took on the effects of whatever settings you used for Eevee. He's teaching me things that he didn't even mean to teach!

Yes! Finally you use M instead of Ctrl + G to create new collections. I always think this way is better because it will automatically put my objects into new collection so it won't mess up with my original collection. Anyway, thanks for the great tutorial and keep it up~

At frame 2:13 you say you hit Cntrl-+ to select all extruded faces...but when i hit it..it does nothing.... but increase the viewport size from the sound of it I can hear you tapping the keyboard 2 more times.aftr.Cntr + What commands are you using specifically to select all extruded faces???

hit the "+" button in the numberpad; this happened to me too, i was hitting the "+/=" button above the letters on the keyboard and the viewport zoomed in on me. CTRL and the numberpad + is what selects these sections.

Hey ducky, one thing: when you make looping keyframes with rotation, make sure you go to frame 1 and put 0 degrees, and then go to the end of the timeline +1, because if it's looping, frame 1 and 121 are the same, and put the 360 degree keyframe there. if you put it on 120, you'll have 1 frame that's duplicated, and sometimes that can be noticeable.

For anyone is using an emission in the ''Shading'' tab, (which you are) You may want to enable ''Bloom'' for the emission to work (in Render properties) I think I managed to reset the properties by pressing ''Backspace'' or idk. Because my emission was working fine the other day. But I guess ''Bloom'' needs to be enabled as well. So, keep it enabled for emission. (Or i might be wrong, but, thats what happened to me) (PS, I pressed backspace while I was in Shading tab)

When you start to setup your camera animation, make sure to set the Interpolation Mode to linear, if it's not already by default. Otherwise, you could get some acceleration and deceleration in your camera movements.

I was following along and everything was working just fine till i got to the particle generation. For some reason there's an object being generated directly in the middle of the scene where the camera is supposed to fly through. Could you help meto find out this issue? in shading and render view i see all dark, with only blu "windows", also if i put new point light 500W, i can't see the surface of the tunnel lighted as you... thanks in advance..

It's cleaner to go into the graph editor, selecting the camera, select the keyframe at frame 0, pressing "T", then selecting "Linear" under "Interpolation".

do you have some presets for your mouse or program or something? I know i am using mac but almost all that stuff you are saying to do doesnt work at all. I.E. press tab (i guess it highlights all?) it doesnt do anything for me and I am sure this would be a hotkey that should be the same between the 2 platforms. I have no idea how to make it highlight the whole thing i am working on after that so the tutorial falls apart that quick. Maybe give a beginners turorial? I'm just trying to copy an object of yours, and I notice that the lighting doesn't work as well as it does with you. Your lighting is set to 10.000. If I want to do that right now it's way too bright. And if I go to 10 watts it's too dark. What am I doing wrong?

Idk if you still care 6 months later but here goes: Your scene might be at a different scale? You might not think this matters much when you're just doing abstract stuff with no context for real world scale but the intensity of the light is super reliant on the scale of the scene because of how the falloff is calculated, so if your scene is much larger or smaller then lights will behave very differently. I can't think of any reason the math used to calculate this would be different depending on the platform. If that's not it then idk how to help u. I'd suggest just playing around till you find a value that looks nice if copying from the video doesn't work

@@maxgrey3694 Sorry for my bad English. Since I am from Germany, I have to have it translated into English and vice versa. So I had mixed up mm and cm in the settings of the blender software. Since the Blender software is also set to english. But I did not make this animation because it is too powerful for my PC Mac. Unfortunately Blender does not recognize my graphics card. And so it would have taken much too long until the rendering would have been finished. Which I find very unfortunate. I think it's really great of you that you think so much about it and then offer your help. Thanks a lot for.

I'm running into an issue when applying the particle system. All of the building particles snap to the faces of the rectangular cube we're applying the particle system to but then I have 1 single particle that's dead center. I can't seem to figure out why it's doing this or how to get rid of it. I moved the original object we created in the tutorial to the side so it isn't that. Anyone have any ideas?

Not sure if this is the best workaround, but I had the same issue and in the Particle System settings I changed the Number from 1000 to 999 in the Emission settings. The middle one disappeared, it seems to be random seed related, so different Number values will result in the middle feature existing or not.

I'm trying to follow this tutorial but there is a random particle that r3enders in the center of the tunnel. At first, I thought that there was particle rendering at the origin of the object so I changed the origin and that did nothing, then I tried moving the 3d cursor and that also did nothing. I also tried remaking the particle system entirely and that also did nothing. Any suggestions on how to get rid of that random particle?
