Create a Stitches sculpting brush in Blender

Using the Space stroke option in your Brush settings, as well as some other small tweaks, lets you create this kind of repeating brush. This is useful for stitches, and even for zippers, and other repeating patterns.

how would you apply it to a mesh, for, eg having a selection of edge on a shoe mesh that you want to be the stitches throught the sculpting brush, how would you, then apply these vdms?

Looks good, but sadly it's still not ideal. I'm looking forward to the eventually-coming "roll" mapping that will give us similar functionality like ZBrush, hopefully.

I've always wondered, how and in what case this is actually useful?? Why in the hell would you want sculpted stitches?! can't texture them, can't edit 'em later if you need to, you need millions of polygons...
