I have this stamp and die set and I have to say it's one of my absolute favorites!!! I raise Monarch butterflies in the summer and we just found our first caterpillar 🐛 of the summer 2 days ago. Last summer we raised 35 and released them back into the wild. Anyway, Thanks for sharing your creativity with us.

Thank you Emma Lou. The stained glass butterfly is definitely going to spur me on to try out your technique. I have the Dries Clear glue with point tip so it should go kind of smoothly :) Many thanks!

Before I own the cutting shim, I was always frustrated cutting intricate designs using my sizzix machine. But you have just shown me a wonderful way to embrace an 'imperfection'. Thanks so much for sharing, all cards are fabulous (:

What kind of glitter brand are you using? Really great way to showcase the butterfly and I never thought about embossing them. Thanks. Do you think that the winking frog collection could be embossed?
@heartfeltcreations8 жыл бұрын
+Liz Ford Hi Liz, How are you? I was using the brand "Art Glitter" the ultrafine in this video. Yes, the larger images in the Winking Frog collection can be embossed, however the small frog border doesn't do so well with that unless it's very detailed embossing powder. ~Emma Lou

I have the entire Butterfly Medley collection and have found it to be so versatile. I followed your technique on the stained glass effect, but I am lost on the embossing technique? Could you explain it a little more detail? Thanks so much! Im a new fan :)
@heartfeltcreations9 жыл бұрын
Kathy Ancheta Hello Kathy, Welcome and thank you for watching! Sorry I should have explained the embossing more clearly. To do that technique I used 2 tan embossing mats and 1 of the clear plates for my sandwich with the vagabound. If you google how to emboss with the machine you're using, you can follow that format and maybe leave 1 layer of thickness out of that sandwich since we are embossing with the die cut blade. Does that make sense? Wish I could show you in person:) ~Emma Lou

Heartfelt Creations Thanks Emma Lou, I think I understand what your saying. It looked like you had embossed the entire butterfly, not just the outline. Im sure that was just me seeing things. But I know now I can just emboss the entire page and then use the die as an emboss the outline? Thats how im understanding it anyway. Thanks for your tutorials, they give me lots of inspiration!
