Create An Animated Mask In Figma: 2023 Tutorial

Thanks Darren! Do you know if Figma can create a tooltip that appears and follows your mouse (e.g. whilst hovering over an image)? This is one of many interactions I am looking to learn but I can't seem to find them online, or, Figma just can't do it? I've found tutorials where they use this other platform called Spline, but that's another ocean to jump into which I'm not ready for yet.

Yeah, at the moment Figma can't do interactions that follow the mouse... you could probably cheat it with a bunch of empty frames that act as mouseEnter triggers and animate the tooltip over them... but at the moment I believe a 3rd party system like spline is the only option.
