Very helpful information. The skirts are nicely sewn

Love you Emily. You explain it very clearly.

Sewing the waistband on the second skirt would be easier. But since you had started with no stretch fabric, it would have been nice to see how you sewed the elastic at least partially onto the NON-stretch skirt. Do you gather it first? You didn't finish the original project. Just wondering how you would do that.

Open the skirt, so you are looking at the circle waist. Pin the elastic to the fabric in one spot (I usually start with the center of the circle closest to me, and the part of the elastic that I sewed together. Making this the back of my skirt), then fold the elastic in 1/2, and match to the opposite side of the skirt (the center of the circle furthest away from me) and pin it. Then I do the same thing with the other sides of the elastic and skirt (left to right sides). Keep the elastic stretched while you sew. I usually hold the pinned section in my right hand pulling it toward myself, while holding the section behind the needle, so I can keep the stretch as it sews. My machine has a foot peddle, so I have my hands free. It is more difficult (for me) to sew elastic using my push start/stop option. This will give you the same look she got. I hope this made sense to you. Happy sewing. :)

Interesting but incomplete video. Please start with unfolded fabric and continue video until both skirts are finished. Also, since this is a video, show (not tell) how to make a longer skirt. Thanks you.

Thanks for this tutorial! How can I get a longer skirt of 32 inches? Would it help if I folded the fabric differently and cut 4 panels? Or could I add a tier or two...how could I do that? . What about 108" wide quilting fabric? I am a plus size.

I wondered too. I guessed more panels too.

Tried to make this with linen... did the calculation... came out way too big in the hips. Thought I did something wrong so I checked the numbers used, the hip measurement.... got the same results, couldn't find anything wrong.

Where do I find the written instructions for the circle skirt? I can't seem to find instructions on your website. Thanks.

Can anybody explain what "it's sew..." means? I see many online shops that are sewing related are named "it's sew" + some other name English is not my first language

Poor tutorial.A tutorial ought to guide a novice from beginning to end and should allow them to make the skirt by themselves using only the guidelines they learned from the video.
