Thanks for this, just what I needed. Though it needed a bit of lateral thinking. My Mixamo was walking in place, and his legs appear not to be connected to the rest of him .So I selected the legs seperately and did the same operation. It worked a treat.

Thank you so much! By the way for anyone who has issues with the z location not actually causing the character to go forward, try the other axis (for example x) because the mixamo model may have different axis for movement especially if it's a custom model.

Wow this one is really good !! but i did notice one thing when it goes to the next set of frames the animation has a little hiccup glitch, it drops height every segment. not noticeable if played in realtime but if you play by frame you can see the shift

I have no idea why that would occur. Try saving, shutting it down and re-opening. If it does not show in realtime, ignore it.

Great easy to follow tutorial! I followed along and made the character to walk/run infinitely on Blender but once I imported it into Unity, the character doesn't move at all. I wonder what step(s) I might have missed. I know this is a 2-year old video but hope someone here could help.

yes, once you have the animation set, use the steps you would normally use to have a character, or object follow a path. It will take some tweaking, but it is possible.

Seems like after the initial walk cycle it starts to "slip" and not be in place prior. What would fix that?

without viewing your process, or file I really can't say. My only advice would be, start from scratch and see if you missed a step. Or, maybe try a different walk cycle.

@@richerworldproductions I believe it was because I slide the graph to offset zombie walks as oppose to using the timeline area to offset. I found another way to loop using the "N" key menu while hovering over the graph and using the drop down menu for cycle - cycle offset. Copy and paste will add to all channels and then tell the post and pre behavior to repeat. Basically same as you are doing.

Follow all of the steps the same, but when you need to click off the monkey wrench, do it on the mixamorigHIPS. That will give you the proper result.

i am not sure why this is happening at all. My only advice would be to try it again following the video. Something may have been missed along the way. If it happens again...I don't know how to fix it, without doing it myself..

Hi. When I activate the Grapfic editor there is not only X, Y, Z, W, but hips, spine, neck, shoulder, left shoulder, right shoulder and so on. Where do I deactivate my Monkey franchise key??? There are too many of them, I try with everyone but instead of extending the loop, the character begins to make strange movements. 😞

usually the hips, but if that does not work, just turn them off one at a time, and you will find it.

@@richerworldproductions Hi! When I make cyclik, the sinusoid copy, but there's no any blue lines. Just orange sinusoides until the end. So, my Person is walking until the sinusoid with points ends. Next frames where are copied sinusoids withouth points, he is walking in place. Where I do mistake?

i would have to see your file, but if you go into Action Editor under dope sheet you should be able to just use the walk cycle you have.

without having your files, it is hard for me to figure out what could be going wrong. Try it with a different character, or walk cycle and see if one of those may be the problem.

I am not sure of other ways to bring up the menu, but I will advise that you make sure your cursor is WITHIN the graph area before pressing. If it is not, it won't come up.

Even easier: Just rightclick the Z location name (that has the wrench) and do the linear extrapolation from there.

z location hips is what you want. Not sure why yours is named differently, i would have to see your whole process. But look for the Z hips.

This doesn't work like this anymore. Mixamo animations don't show the axis like that. The only solution I could find is to use the Graph Editor's search box and put "Z Location" and start unmarking all the black boxes but still, the animation is really bad. God. Everyday I hate Blender more and more.

use your scroll wheel on your mouse, and zoom out a lot. it is there, just may not be visible or almost straight up. OR, double click on the Z Location on the left menu. it may show for you.
