I had a go doing this sort of thing years ago and also tried with 2/3 guns stacked or on opposite sides with various coloured filters on them, mixing the colours produced some interesting images. Keep up the good work Mark, like your vids.

Hi Mark, I finally got around to trying out your smoke technique and had more fun than I've had in a while. I combined several images, used different blend modes, flipped the same image and combined. Did all sorts of fun stuff and came away with images I am happy with. Would be happy to share some of my results with you, if you wish.

Was there ever a follow up video where we use these pictures along with images shot in the studio as mentioned at the end of the video?

Great effects Mark, Thank you! And by the way, I agree with the comment below about the gestures similarities between you and Gavin. Both of you are great though 😀👍🏻

You can inverse the colours/exposure in LR as well by using your curves adjustment, that’s how I achieved the same look 😊

I had forgotten how interesting smoke photography could be. Played around a couple of times in the past with it. Also used gradients with blending modes to get different effects.

Quick question....why not keep the background black?

Stellabully 265 You can do anything, it’s totally subjective. I did both black and white backgrounds. There are no rules. 😀👍🏻
