pretty awesome idea ;) qq, how do you upscale the pictures? Dall-e, Midjourney, all of them work at pretty low quality, and you need to upscale in order to create big puzzles...

Hey there, you are so welcome I'm happy to help. You may want to generate in a square format! So if you're using Dall-E 3, you could say "Make the image square" at the end of your prompt.

Hey there! Don't worry. When you start a new Etsy shop, it's normal for them to suspend your account. They want to verify you're a real person. Be sure to submit an appeal, they will reinstate your account quickly :)

Give me a run down of the pricing here... if you are offering free shipping it is 8 dollars for print + 6 for shipping (says that on printify at the start) which is 14 dollars already... then another 20% to 35% if we are being realistic on fees which will be about another 3-6 dollars... and you are selling your lowest for 17.... am I missing something here? Not having a go I just don't understand where the profits are?

Sorry if I didn't explain pricing clearly enough! You want an additional 40-50% profit margin to work with on top of your expenses (the production + shipping fee). Printify allows you to adjust your pricing based on profit margin when you're uploading your design and of course you can adjust it on Etsy / Shopify / Tiktok Shop if you need to later. Hope this helps!

Hi I upload my image to the site and it gave me a high resolution. When I went to select 1000 piece puzzle the DPI went down. So what do I do here? The high resolution is when you choose a puzzle that is like 252 or less. When I chose the 100 piece it went down.

Hello Jacob. when it comes to pricing, I usually see an added column for shipping costs, just after production costs. How does one then set up the retail price?

You can either charge your customer a shipping fee at checkout or you can have free shipping and include the shipping cost in your retail price. I usually charge 4.99 for shipping and then add the rest back into my retail price! Hope this helps

Are you not worried about the 147 DPI for the larger puzzle sizes? Seeing the same issue with mine currently and don't know if they're good enough to print or not.

You can use a free tool like BigJPG to enlarge your images. The paid version can 8x You can then create a larger canvas in Canva or Photopea (free tools) if you still need a larger image for shower curtains or a larger POD product. But you should be good to go for puzzles. You can use free Vectorize.ai to turn it into a scalable vector image as well

You can sign up for Printify first, and then from there you will be able to sync up to Shopify, Etsy, Tiktok, Walmart, etc. from within Printify. So no you do not need to make an Etsy if you don't plan on putting products there.

Try to hit niche markets, such as “Boston Terrier Puzzle” and “Sphynx Cat Puzzle” These are easier to compete with (there might not even be competition at all) Once you have sales flowing from Etsy, it’s a little easier to rank for bigger search terms, like “Animal Puzzles”. If you need extra assistance, spending $1 daily on Etsy ads to give your listing a small boost can help. Recommend this for your best sellers

Nobody is paying $44.95 for a 1000 pcs puzzle when real top manufacturers sell them for $19, such as Ravensburger which is the top brand in the world. This is just horseshit and complete ridiculous pricing.

You aren’t your customer. Your customers decide what value it has to them. The data shows that puzzles do sell for this price point, and data is historical evidence. Will you become the #1 manufacturer in the world and compete with Ravensburger and take all their customers? No…that’s not the goal. The goal is for someone with creative insight and hunger to start a business to start getting sales. That might be 1 sale a day, it might be 20 sales a day. Anyway, hope you have an amazing day!

You’re also more than welcome to sell your puzzles for whatever price you want 😊 In the video I say “make sure to allow an extra 20% for Etsy fees, taxes, and sales / returns!”… So if you don’t want to add in that extra buffer to help you stay profitable, you can lower your pricing!

What people pay for things is based on so many factors besides price comparison. When you just really like something and it seems really unique, I think we have all paid more than what we knew was a base price because it's probably not an item that is made in mass and sold at every Walmart. I buy most things on a sale in some way, but will save up if needed to pay a higher full price if an item speaks to me. Plus it's actually a more green way of doing it and people are also willing to pay more for that too.

I’ve had many jobs starting at 16 years old and $7 an hour (cleaning toilets, moving pallets, taking orders from horrible bosses) all the way up to 120K / year after graduating with a Comp Sci degree. While in college, I worked a job and built the foundation of these eCom businesses. I never felt fulfilled in a job. But you probably haven’t watched enough of my videos to know that.
