In AutoCAD, the Create Block command is used to create a custom block from selected objects in the drawing. Blocks are reusable objects that can contain a combination of lines, arcs, text, and other entities. Creating blocks allows you to consolidate and reuse complex or frequently used objects, simplifying your drawing workflow.
To create a block in AutoCAD, follow these steps:
Select the objects you want to include in the block. You can select single or multiple objects by clicking on them or using a selection window.
Type "BLOCK" in the command line and press Enter, or access the Create Block command from the Ribbon menu.
In the Block Definition dialog box, specify a name for the block.
Choose the insertion point for the block. This defines the base point where the block will be inserted when used.
Optionally, you can set the scale, rotation angle, and other properties for the block.
Click OK or press Enter to create the block.
