I am an international student from Japan and I used to have a hard time understanding the database. Thanks to your video, now I understand it clearly. Appreciate.

A good introduction that covers the "logical model --> physical model --> ddl script" workflow. But beware that the examples are violating many of the "best practice" norms.

very clear and well thought out. that is a bit rare in youtube.. too many memorizers in the platform, sadly.

I have more than 100 tables so how to select all entities and resize it in logical data model? And is thr any option to split the pages like 1, 2, 3 etc.
@ittm75623 жыл бұрын
I am not sure exactly but probably for resizing all the tables at once you can try to select all tables using your mouse going from the left upper corner of the screen and going to the lower right corner of the screen and press Ctrl key and zoom out using your mouse or press "-" (minus) sign.

The video was so good,but i don't understand what's the difference between a PF and FK
@hapocs2 Жыл бұрын
I am probably late and you already know it, but... In databases, a Primary Key (PK) is a unique identifier for each record in a table, ensuring that each entry is unique. On the other hand, a Foreign Key (FK) establishes a relationship between two tables, linking a field in one table to the Primary Key of another table. This helps maintain data integrity across the database.
@vik_0584 Жыл бұрын
@@hapocs2 Thank you! I really know this,but when I am about to make a middle table for two other tables it makes the fields as primary and foreign key at the same time. Like e.g. we have many people who speak many languages so we will have the Id of a person from the first table as a first field of our third table and we'll have for a second field the id of the language and SQL developer marks these as primary-foreign(PF) keys at the same time. It's a bit strange
