FOR EVERYONE asking how to turn it into a transparent background. Have you tried changing it from Black to Transparent? It's under Render Settings in Composite Settings under Saber.

I did everything u did and mine didnt save with a transparent background. I want to put the animation over my logo and cant figure it out. I thought if it would save with the transparent background i would be able to go back into after effects and just put it over it? idk why it didnt save as transparant.

Thanks for posting this, I especially liked that you mentioned about combining rib with Alpha so it could be overlaid on anything.
