I don't know what I did wrong, but mine came out with a gradient of opacity. I made the taper brush with your other tutotial, then followed the steps exactly to make the Gothic brush.

What I want is like a fat stub nib, where the "ink" goes on completely opaque in all directions. Your tutorial created a brush that has the right up & down stroke characteristics, but is nowhere near 100% opaque.

Have you tried the ANIMATION ASSIST in PROCREATE? It's a frame-by-frame animation creator that you can use to create this. I don't have that much experience with it, but there are a lot of tutorials for it here on KZbin. You can find it in the wrench icon (ACTIONS) and tap on CANVAS and you'll find it there. :)

Hmmm... all I could think is that maybe your background color is not pure black, or your brush shape has a blurred edge. Other than that, I'm stumped! :)

I had the same problem and you can see the glow in his video. I played around with it and found that increasing the tilt bleed helped. Under Apple Pencil, move the tilt bleed up. 60% worked for me.

I think the issue here is the brush shape. Please make sure that when you make it you are using PURE WHITE against a PURE BLACK background. Otherwise the brush will have some opacity to it and would appear with a "glow". Please let me know how this turns out. Thanks!

Hi Aroosa. From what I can understand you're probably drawing with a color that's not pure white. Even a little bit of gray will result in a semi-transparent brush shape. Either that or your brush opacity is not at 100%.

It has to do with the shape of the brush. It may be too thin. Try expanding it with the WARP tool before using it as your brush shape. Lemme know how it goes! :)

I use an apple pencil which supports pen and tilt pressure. There are apple pencil alternatives, but look for the ones with pressure and tilt sensitivity for these to work. :)

@@GOTHhamlet Okay, here are a few things you might want to double check: 1. Make sure you draw your line with 100% opacity (that's the second slider below the size slider on your canvas) 2. Make sure your Taper Brush has no Pressure Opacity (go to APPLE PENCIL and set PRESSURE OPACITY to NONE) 3. If the 3-finger swipe does not work to reveal "copy canvas", tap on the wrench icon (first one beside the word GALLERY" at the top) tap on ADD below ACTIONS and choose COPY CANVAS (second to last in the options). That should copy your canvas and let you paste it. Let me know if this works out and if you come across any other problems. :)
