Important if the MIDI is not generated it's a malformed response from ChatGPT. Which can be fixed by adapting the query. You find a troubleshooting PDF in the downloads, please compare with the example if it looks the same and don't hesitate to drop me an email if you feel stuck ;-)

i worked all day on trying to figure this out. tried for a couple of hours to do whatever your browser app is doing after i found the video. then i just bought it and it does exactly what i was trying to do. Hey, mate glad it worked. What made you struggle maybe I can add some helpful text to it? Just in case you get conversion issues ⚠️: Most of the times it's the format of the note length e.g. ChatGPT return a “q” for a quarter note instead of 4n. So note lengths need to be in this format 16n = 16ths note, 8n = 8th note. And notes need octaves e.g C3 and not just C or Cm. That's the most common issues, people sent me.

How do you prompt the Ai properly to get an answer you can use?

I think the more specific you are the better and most of the times it just lies you right in the face with 100% confidence. But e.g that one prompt I did in the video yielded a pretty good line IMHO. I would see it more experimental at the moment. I guess you will need to try and error a lot and then cherry-pick the best pieces. But I'm sure this or similar AIs will write more powerful melodies as we humans etc in the near future. We just need to learn how to feed, harvest and orchestrate them. Tbh I don't have a 100% formula and more often I get bad results than good.

I have been working with Gpt 3 and now GPT4 for 11 months now coding my personal midi generator and I can tell you that it is terrible at music theory> I use it for the coding aspect but I program the theory myself and chat gpt gets the theory wrong so many times it almost feels like sabotage at times. It will tell you a scale is lydian when it is clearly Phrygian , Screws up chord spelling and more. shit like that, so as I create my program I am having to correct its borderline sabotage like 70% of the time

Just to add to this I had some times when ChatGPT either didn't close that last bracket "]" then you need to regenerate the answer. And one time It used "quarter" for the duration, in that case replace the "put the duration in here" with "e.g. 16n, 8n, 4n" and it should use that format. As said send me over your result and I do a check. Also please try a browser like Chrome, maybe it's just something in the browser settings, which blocks the download of the midi, that's why I pasted a working example response. :)

@@Psiger that works now thanks, just tried another example for moonlight sonata and it stops after so many lines, asked it to do first 10 lines and it did it but with some errors, great work will experiment more with it, thanks

Can you post the response you got from ChatGPT here and I'll take a look 👀 most of the time the answer is malformed. Depending on when you downloaded it I released a version 2 with a better prompt a few days ago. Also please include the query you sent to ChatGPT as well here :)

Can you write me an email (in the description box). We see how we can fix it. But first, can you try with a different browser e.g Chrome should work. And don't move that index out of that folder. EDIT: I tried it now with three diff Browsers Chrome, Brave and Safari and I didn't had the issue. Let me know in the email which browser(s) you used. Hi, I don't really have a trial. But I think the code hidden in the video is still available which should make it 50% off. You can try it with that pretty cheap. NOT BUY if you wanto to generate rhythms.The product was a very good idea, but it needs a lot of improvement in terms of creating drum rhythms or in general. It simply doesn't create the rhythms, or if it does, they sound like a machine gun or they turn into silence when transferred to Guitar Pro. I even tried using it in the chat GPT initially and asked it to convert it to code, but the code it provided was not compatible. I asked again to translate it into JSON format, but things still turned out wrong. Overall, it's a great concept, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. I wouldn't recommend using it currently for generating rhythms.

I think a lot of ChatGPTs training data comes from guitar tabs but that's just my assumption. About compatibility, if you have any problems with the conversion send me the query and the result usually it's that ChatGPT doesn't follow that format and adds e.g. quarter instead of 4n. The fix is then usually to provide an more specific example of the format. With the drum grooves just an idea maybe you can specify a few things to ChatGPT e.g rhythms it can oriented on or things like use syncopation. But just saying it often bluntly returns a similar example and lies into your face about having things changed 😄 PS: The product is just a conversion thing, I don't really have anything to do with the musical side, that all comes form ChatGPT

Making a trial is not an easy thing. Just query ChatGPT type in the notes by hand and if you are satisfied then get it. The midi conversion works. And if ChatGPT drops any cumbersome answers I can help you here. Also, the money I charge is more like a coffee donation, it took me a day to experiment around, and it helps to maintain the channel. ;-)

the melodie at 4:39 is not even E Phrygian, it's actually Phrygian dominant. Is ithis because you had picked the key in Ableton before or chatGPT really doesn't even have a clue about their differences? Anyway it's just going up and down the scale in steps, humans win again :)

For sure but you know I use those things sometimes to get inspired and then kick-start my own thing. Usually, you will anyway need to adapt stuff you get from tools. There are many ways to get from A to B and sometimes a diff route is doing the trick.

Yes, it definitely has its own reality it sometimes mixes stuff randomly together and makes a new truth out of it. If you have checked out Midjourney or EDali I think some of that AI applications get insanely good. I’m 99% sure that either this AI or another more dedicated one will be a total game-changer in music creation. No matter if people like it or not. At the moment what interest me is how to utilize this to make even better music?

In any subject, It's health, it's music, it's what caused some people to die, what illness people has, about Psychedelic culture, about ancient history, I hate to see the wrong information that written there, and people directly believe it. But in reality, it's just bunch of people, heard from each other, believe something is true, or it was logic to them like that way, depending on their own mind. Anyway. @@mylogify yes, I did upgrade my internet. I got a Fuji XT-10 quality is nice but they got a crap app to remote control it. I think I did link most of my gear down in the description. But tbh you can get quite good recordings also with an IPhone eg the Shorts I do record with my phone now.
