Hi Raf! I'm an aspiring game designer and has been leaning towards getting Adobe Illustrator to make my game assets/graphics. I never used a Pen/Tablet before, I'm glad to know you dont really need one to make great looking graphics :D thanks to your videos. My main dilemma is Unlike Photoshop, Illustrator doesn't have many layers. What if I want my graphics to animate/move? Wont it be hard to make multiple frames in illustrator since there are no Multiple Layers? Thanks again Raf! Hope you get to post more tutorials :)

BlitzyWasabi Thanks for the feedback :) Yes you really dont need a tablet especially for game art (though it can be added to anyone's workflow) I usually sketch on paper and then just import it to AI and trace, fix, shade everything there. Also illustrator does have many layers, and you can create unlimited layers :) If you want to animated frame by frame, its also possible in AI with the help of multiple artboards :) Treat each artboard as one frame of your animation and its all good. You need to go back to phohoshop then and make the gif from the illustrator png sequence images/frames if you want to see it move. OR, you can import them to your game maker and see how it animates there ( i have no idea how to set it but in theory its very much possible. Also I have recently uploaded one video which can answer your question on how to animate frames in illustrator :) I'ts sort of a quick hack though haha kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKqcmpWbip6co7c

Nether Fun Gaming thanks Raf! yes I saw that video after I posted this question haha but I really appreciate your detailed reply. Thank you! Hope you'll have more time to make more tutorials :D I love making animations in Flash, I was so used to flash that I felt stupid when I started with Photoshop.. I didn't know Illustrator was the one that I should have been using. Since its a Vector Art program similar to Flash. More power to your channel! keep up the great work. btw are you Filipino? your accent is similar to ours.:)

BlitzyWasabi haha yes, pinoy here :) and yes flash + ai combo wins for me. All files will work seamlessly, and you can go back to ai if you need few tweaks. The AI+PS combo was just to show its possible to preview an animation in PS

Nether Fun Gaming oh im no longer using Flash, its still hard to import flash games to Mobile Apps even with Starling... What Im planning to do is create sprites and use them in UNITY 5 :D I'm currently researching how to properly create a Spritesheet for Unity :)
