This video makes me feel like a lone man, who has created all this in hopes someone, somewhere is out there. Remembering making each building. Placing each block. Taking this train trip looking, hoping for someone else, but by the time he makes it back he knows he’s still alone. Just like when he punched that first tree. Making a city for a people that don’t exist. I do know the true meaning of showing off all the cool builds but the “deeper meaning within” kinda hit strong for me lol

using trapdoors is such a clever idea! I wish there were 5 block wide rails however, it’s a shame that if you do make your train 5 blocks wide the wheels are hard to see.

5BW rails would be ultra unrealistic, the ones present in Create perfectly represent the 1.42m IRL standard track width

5 blocks wide carriage look too much compared to the player. That’s why I spent so much time doing 3 wide carriages with actually 3 block space inside to use

if you add flywheels next to the trainwheels you can make them look ok on a 5 wide train

This is so cool! I've been feeling so inspired to play modded Minecraft again because of the new Create Mod update. Can you imagine playing this update with friends on a server...creating railways and systems just to get to one person's base or spawn or etc? I mean sure, you can fly or run, but there's something so incredibly immersive about this video, and I could only envision what it might feel like with something like simple voice chat mod added on - how cozy and fun that might be! I can imagine so many fun designs and concepts, so watching this video was quite nice! Thank you for sharing!

I wish they'd add a feature like this in Minecraft. I could only imagine building my own railroad with my own locomotives pulling my own named trains (eg. The Dinnerbone Limited, The Agnes Express, etc.). Please build more locomotives like this, perhaps with 4-6-2 or even 4-8-4 wheel arrangements if possible, and have them pull longer, fancier trains complete with dining cars, sleeper cars, and even observation cars at their ends. WE NEED MORE!

Create mod only allows to have two bogeys per car. There are tricks but they would look weird. I will try Extended bogeys addon to see if it solves the issue
