Why RGB16? And is it necessary to use 300DPI for a digital planner?

RGB 16 is probably just habiton my part. 300 DPI means I can produce a good quality PDF and then use a specialist app to compress the file size as the very last step. So not necessary it just depends on your specific workflow.
