Great video! Just realized if you duplicate that text and have the new text be a mesh with an aistandardsurf, have it be slight smaller than the meslight object, turn the emission all the way up and then make the blue text invisible (but still keep the light), you can have that white part in the middle (like a star wars lightsaber)!!

That sounds really cool, Dan! I'll have to try it. Thanks for sharing!

It's awesome... but I have one question!! if we have lots of mesh lights in the same scene then the ai fog will work for all mesh lights?? If I just want the fog effect on one light then?
@k-vandan5 жыл бұрын
ai fog doesnt give u atmosphere volume effect of light just use ai atmosphere ///// set the Volume contribution to 0 on the Main tab of other area lights
@k-vandan5 жыл бұрын
if u want fog effect too use big area light keep intensity low
@AcademicPhoenixPlus5 жыл бұрын
That's a good question and SpaceMonkey is correct. in the light attributes, near the bottom, there are a bunch of sliders under Visibility. If you do not want the fog to affect the light, then drop Volume to 0. That should do it! :) Hope that helps

Thank you Monica! Maya 2019 there’s still not glow effect in real time??
@AcademicPhoenixPlus5 жыл бұрын
You are very welcome, Somy! Glow is usually faked in previous renders, and since Anrold is PBR, it follows real world examples. So glow will be made from fog. Maybe they will add fake fog! That would be nice !

Hello, how do you remove blue noises? I followed your video but I cant seem to remove them. :3
@AcademicPhoenixPlus5 жыл бұрын
There are several ways: Make sure your volume samples are up in your lights. also increase the render settings in your Arnold Renderer. It'll take longer to render, but it will look nicer! Try this! docs.arnoldrenderer.com/display/A5AFMUG/Removing+Noise
