There seems to be a big bug with this that when the custom date still affects the other periods if the custom date does not cover the date range of the preselected. Maybe i have done something wrong, otherwise this method doesnt really work

Could you please help me how to sync two slicers with the main table and calendar table. I am trying to create a dashboard that includes two slicers and a tab to select a time period (day, week, month, custom). In the "week" tab, there should be two slicers with options as follows: **Slicer 1**: - Last 7 days - This week - Last week **Slicer 2**: - Preceding period - Four weeks ago - Preceding year - 52 weeks ago I need a line chart that displays revenue over time, with days on the x-axis. This chart should allow me to compare the revenue for the selected options from the two slicers, such as comparing revenue from the "Last 7 days" to "Four weeks ago."

If select the custom filter and select the date range between 1-Nov-2022 to 30-Nov-2022 and again go to period selection and select the MTD, without clearing the Custom filter. it won't show the Value. Is it possible to Clear the Custom filter automatically when we select the Period filter like MTD,QTD...

After selecting CUSTOM filter when you go back to let's say QTD the chart does change. Only the dates on the second slicer stays visible. You can choose to disable the calendar slicer when anything else is selected other than custom. Please see the video below. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nV6XqGuNpZWVp8k

great video, but I dont know what I am missing. I am not able to load the visual. It is stating that you can't compare date with text and my dataset has historical dates between 2013 and 2015. I can't use Today() function in that case. How to resolve this? Please advise.

I find a big issue with this solution - once you set a new date range in "custom", that date range persists, even when you choose "Month To Date", etc. For example, Let's pretend today is January 10. if you first choose a Custom range from say, Dec 1-Dec 31, and get the results.... then you choose "month to date", You will get no results because the Dec-1-Dec 31 range is still applied. You still need to change the date range in Custom to be in January, in this example, otherwise it returns nothing.

I did it like your describe, BUT when i choose "Custom" and set a date ( for Example 01.01.2024 - 03.01.2024) and choose after that "MTD" or "Last 10 Days", the Custom Data slicer keep the date (01.01.24-03.01.2024) . It does not reset like in your vidoe. , although i coose "MTD" or the others. Do you know, why?

Hi, great tutorial. My company do not use calendar month and year as fiscal but rather we use fiscal months that ends on the LAST saturday of each months. As per the fiscal year it ends on the last Saturday of November. Therefore I can not use the Power BI build in EOM and EOY functions. Would you make a video to show how one can have a custom End of month and End of year?

this has loop hole. if you select custom and change daterange value and when you reselect Last 7 days. ideally you should get date values as blank but it hold the changed custom value
