Create Smooth Cutouts in Photopea FAST - Unique Method!

In this video, I’m going to show you how to create smooth cutouts in Photopea, in no time at all - using a technique that I don’t think a lot of people know about.
This method works great on simpler objects with hard edges - but not suitable for objects that have soft detailed edges (such as hair)

No problem! Glad you found it useful! Yes, like most things there are other ways to do it, but within the realm of Photopea I think this is one of the quicker methods. As the refine edge tool is quite limited (and very slow) compared to the Photoshop equivalent.

Sadly doesn't work the way I'd like with my image that is more complex than a simple round shape, it's also slightly pixelated which is my main issue right now

Sorry to hear that this didn't help you with your particular image. Is it a hard edged object, or does it have softer edges like fabric, fur/hair? I hope to record a new video in the near future talking more about different methods of cutting objects out, and different types of objects too, so I hope that will help you (once i've had the chance to make the video, that is!) :)

Once you smoothed out the edges, then how how do you then remove the color fill so it's back to a transparent background?

It should be in the same tool group as the magic wand. So if you can see that, click and hold your left mouse button on it and the option for quick selection will appear.

@@photopeapro nvm I used Paint 3D and I was able to change the background of my picture without a problem. Now I just struggle with video editing.
