Thanks so much. It's been a process to get through and not feel like doing art is a "luxury" or an "indulgence" that I should feel guilty about spending time or money on.

I really adore how you answered these questions. They had me rethinking how I answered some of mine - especially the question you asked and how my living in the woods and near the beach, close to nature influences my attitude about my world and thus my art. I could have done a better job on that question for sure!! I had to laugh at how you said taking classes keeps you motivated to create because you want to have that schedule. I WISH that were the case with me. I’m embarrassingly far behind on Wanderlust. Eesh!! Thank you for joining this hop. It was such a pleasure to watch you work and learn more about you!

Loved this! I am quite new to mixed media and never saw your work until now. The clusters are great and I really liked seeing little glimpses of your journals! I am very intrigued by the "Care December Junk Journal" (not sure what it is) and the idea of using a baby board book- so cool! Thank you and welcome! Care December is an annual free challenge run by Kasia Avery of Everything Art UK. She gives a prompt each day and we create art related to that prompt. But it's not just about art, it's also about self care and quiet reflection during a very busy time of year. I really enjoyed it!

Found your channel from Birdie who was doing the 10 questions. Subscribing because your answer to What motivates you to do art? . I felt your answer was real and honest and who doesn't need some therapy and naturing joy. When our kids are grown we find a lot more time to enjoy our passions. Art is therapy for me a time to relax and "play" and so much easier than quilting. LOL Thanks for sharing..... Thanks so much! The green stamps came to me in some happy mail and I'm dying to find the right place to use them! I remember collecting them as a kid and it was my job to paste them in the little books. We got a toaster that way when I was growing up! LOL. It has been a real process getting to where I feel art is not a luxury and only valid if it produces something funcitonal. Now it really is a joy and a therapy and that is all it needs to be. That is enough. And I deserve that in my life. Thanks for watching and for leaving a note!

I enjoyed listening to you answer the questions.....your comment re sitting on the couch wasting a couple of hours made me smile...i do this, but i craft, paint instead as i don't have a separate space. Its become my happy place because i get to relax and do art.

I’m totally with you there! I’m only just getting over the feeling like art has to be useful/practical. I too have a full time exhausting job and aging parents. Such a tough stage of life. Thank you for this wonderful video.

Thank you! I know so many people who are at this stage of life and I don't feel like many people talk about it a lot. It is hard! I was grateful to have an art practice to help me through it. You need to nurture youself as you nurture those around you.

It really was so meaningful. Way more than I could have anticipated. It also kept me going. People were waiting for their cards so I had to complete the project!! LOL!

I'd love to know about making cards and sending them out. I would love to do that for people. How did you get addresses? Etc. Love your work so much. You've been a great inspiration. Btw, I'm in Maine too.

Thank you and hello, neighbor! I'm just outside Portland. Where are you? As for sending out the artist trading cards, I just posted on my instagram page and asked people if they wanted a card. People replied in the comments and I assigned them a number/day for the 100 day project. When their day came I posted a photo of the ATC and asked them to DM me their address. I then mailed them out in batches of 10 or 15 every few weeks. Another idea is what @janaclinardharris does. She asks people to recommend others to her and she mails them a card. So if you know someone who needs a pick-me-up you can suggest them to her and she sends them something out of the blue or she messages them directly for their address. It's a lovely gesture and she only occaisionally asks for some support with the postage.

@@eb_mixedmedia I live just outside of Augusta. I have a small YT channel doing junk journaling, etc. Started the channel to encourage myself as I was dealing with anxiety and depression. Coming up with ideas, filming, editing, etc gave me a creative outlet. I appreciate your art, love the colors you use and have signed up for Wanderlust! I’d really love to send out cards at some point. Thank you so much 😊
