Create With Me, Art Journal, How to turn a page you don’t like into one you Love, Recycle Old Pages

In this video, I take an old art journal spread that I really didn’t like and completely transform it into one that I LOVE! I start with a simple watercolor wash over everything. Then I stencil in some leaves and flowers. I fill in all of the negative space around the plants with acrylic paint. When that is dry, I go over some of the plants that are hard to see with more acrylics. I outline three more of the stencils with watered down black acrylic and add words. The leftover plants needed a little something so I added glitter paint and white designs to help fill the spaces around them. Finally, this old spread has become something new and beautiful!

So satisfying to see you work, thank you for sharing. After seeing a few of your videos, I can see that flora is a favorite subject. Sometimes I don’t like sticking to “what I like” but then it can turn out looking awful to me, but that’s part of the process, no? I like seeing your mix of colors.
