Any idea why I only have audio streaming? :p this works very well, but the video does not show (pi just keeps showing the commandline). I use a Pi Zero 2W

I have no idea why it doesn't work for you. I did have the same issue on a first generation pi (well not sure about audio but no visuals). I don't have a Pi Zero laying around so I can't try.

I must say that I always wanted to try it on a zero, since I believe it draws less power compared to the 3B that I use. I might get myself one next month or so to try.

Thanks for this. Should your start up script still work with the Pi when it's not in text mode? It shows as an Airplay device after a reboot, but doesn't allow me to connect. When I inspect the debug uxplay seems to think there is more than one instance running at the same time. I've only managed to keep it working by deleting the startup script and using it manually. I'd appreciate any thoughts you might have.

interesting, maybe the current version of UxPlay (this video is 7 months old already) comes with it's own service file? That would at least explain why it's started twice on your end. The service file should work fine no matter if you keep a desktop or not. I just disabled it to save on resources.

Hello Thank you for the video! 🤗 I have a question. Will the video play on the boot and then take us to the desktop screen? I couldn't really understand the end. Sorry if it's something obvious I'm new to the whole Raspberry Pi world. I need to use a custom video on the boot and then have a regular desktop image. Thank you!

Not sure what you mean. The way I set it up, there's no video. The raspberry pi just boots into text mode. Once you connect it to a Mac using airplay, it becomes a screen for that Mac. As soon as you disconnect, you will find the raspberry pi in text mode again.

@@ex-itguyok. I see. Thank you! 😊 I need to have a custom video instead of the regular splash screen on the boot. It was possible before with omxplayer but it's no longer available, so I'm trying to find other solutions.

@@ex-itguy Ah, its okay, I have old mini pc and raspberry pi and I tought that it would be cool to plug one of them into my tv and just share my phones screen to tv, now why do I need samsung smart view? Its cuse smart view has option to make your phone fill up your whole tv screen without cropping image of your phone, but it just sets your phone to TVs resolution.

I'm getting an error, with the make .. command. It says CMake Error at /usr/share/cmake-3.25/Modules/FindPkgConfig.cmake:894 (message): None of the required 'libelist-2.0' found Anyone knows what to do to fix that?

Seems like a missing dependency but I don't have the answer for you. You might be better off asking on their github (hopefully yt will allow this link): github.com/FDH2/UxPlay/discussions
