This discussion reminds me of a certain exercise that I read in the book 'On Becoming An Alchemist,' by Catherine MacCoun. In it, she suggests to the reader to try to imagine an object - say, a chair - without visualizing an image of the object - nor the word that describes it - and simply try to hold the "idea" of said object and all that it conveys in mind for as long as possible. It was one of the hardest mental exercises I've ever done, but helped greatly in developing my focus and listening to the promptings of my intuition instantaneously without overthinking.

Thank you so much for commenting this! I’ve realized recently that it’s much more easy and simple to imagine by letting the feeling come to me first, followed by the natural images, rather than straining myself to visualize something super specific. I’m definitely going to start practicing with this exercise!!!

Well Put, Juvi ... the hermeticist understands that it is about mental transformation; not making gold from a hunk of metal, which is an endeavor for the lessers.

@@JWShepard Yet the physical aspect of alchemy is symbolic of the inner transformation and the work involved... it isn't "lesser" really.

Oh I also do this! I call it 'meditating on a word' and no one taught me this I just was called to do it. It works really well, it can change your entire vibration especially if you've been feeling angry or sad and you can reflect on words like 'peace' or 'joy' but this is not to push the angry/sad feelings away either, it's done along with release of the other emotion. It's a balance.

I’ve been in rut with some aspects of my life, and struggling to find answers externally, slacking in my meditation etc; this video was a timely reminder that answers can be found internally. It made me think of the words “in-sight” and “in-spiration”; even the words idea, ideal, imagine, impressions/impressive all have a similar internal or “I” connotation. Phenomenal video, thank you.

Beautifully said as always. Funny, my parents came over at the beginning of this year and my mother created an exercise where we all chose 1 word we’d like/wish to describe our whole 2023, and we wrote it on an card & put it in an envelope to reflect on at the end of the year; we then took turns discussing our word with each other in our lil family group. Miraculously my word is “Recalibrate”. 🥰 thank you again Joseph. 💞 May Blessings continue to meet you at your present. 🎉

This is wonderful, If I relax and meditate on one word at a time. It will automatically bring up loving states we associate with or reveal limiting beliefs with the word. From watching your videos, words like, flow, ecstatic, ideal, automatically now put me in the correct feelings and states. Thank you

As a lifelong reader/writer, I can certainly relate to the power of words! While I do love ornate language, I also like the simplicity of having a single word or mantra and experiencing the layers of meaning reververable out from it.

This works, as you begin to know yourself more and more, for my words such as 'tall' bring me almost instantly into a state of confidence when I sense I need to adopt one, and the word 'low' brings me into a stay of 'submissiveness or gentleness... thank you very much Joseph, your research has really helped me :)

Zooming out you suddenly become aware that all of this is happening on a TV screen - an epic space opera playing out for someone’s entertainment. But the actors don’t know they’re actors. To them, this galactic orgy is as real as real gets.

@@RainbowBandana Just sit there to contemplate it all after you come back because you're gonna see such crazy and radical things in these trips. That when you come back you're gonna be like what the fuck was that? And you're gonna spend a week just in the shower, what the fuck was that? Cooking your food, what the fuck was that? Driving to work, what the fuck was that? Sitting at work doing your work, what the fuck was that? Thinking that. Trying to wrap your mind around it. Try to remember and trying to figure it out and that's a very valuable process.

I started not only doing this at some point last year but also started designing Sigils of those words so they became a symbol. The method i did for this was to create a phrase of what i wanted, then i removed the vowels and every duplicate letter. (sigil crafting) then the new word would be created and if i could not read it, try use Text to speech allow the computer to speak it for you then mimic essentially you could make the glyph for the word by layering each of the letters in a circle form about double the size of a quarter, then add it do a small tomb book use it as a grimoire. eventually there could be other ways for English speakers it's very obvious but maybe this is how glyph dialects came about in the east. i haven't made many personally but the format can be refined using custom inks and such. the intention is only known to you without the codex so keeping a tomb book of what the symbols mean and how to SAY them. VERY powerful stuff with intent and the correct ink. The main issue with Language and it not being INHERENT to you, say your family is from a non English heritage going back decades then the meaning of words being told will never have the same power as words invented by your bloodline.
