God’s plan had to have a people that His Word could come forth, and He needed a womb for the Messiah. Today at Family Worship Center, Pastor Donnie Swaggart reads Isaiah 43:1-7 teaching on the promises of God to His children; that being Israel, and to all who believe, the Jew and the Gentile alike. Brother Donnie says in the world today, we see the hatred towards Israel and the Jews continue to grow, but they are still God’s chosen. Too many Christians do not read their bibles and do not know that we are to stand with Israel. God has created, formed, redeemed, and called all who will believe on the finished work of Christ; and just the same, He has created the Jewish people for His glory. Looking at typology through the story of Hosea and Gomer, Israel’s rebellion is likened to that of Gomer’s. Hosea, a type of Christ, bought Gomer back from the auction block, and our heavenly Hosea, Jesus Christ does the same. He has blotted out the transgressions of all who have, and will, believe. In Him, we are complete.
