Why did I JUST NOW see this? Glad I found your channel. I'm doing a Star Wars fan film for my daughter and I'm doing a hybrid E-11 blaster rifle and a wood bounty hunter/jawa/sandperson type of rife. You've motivated me, I sand and start painting tonight!!! THANK YOU!

Love these videos! Keeping with the Cheap theme, you can make your own washes with Folk Art paints and water, they work just as well and you can make them in any color you like. Keep up the good work 👍

Eh... I like the Citadel range myself. I don't mind paying a little extra for the Agrax Earthshade, Nuln Oil, or that pot of Druchii Violet that's served me well for making antique-bronze paired with Balthazar Gold. There's also Strong Tone from The Army Painter, of course.

Great vid , really like the look and how it turned out. I’m doing a cosplay build myself and now because of you I never would have thought of blue and gold. Sheds light onto a whole lot of color choices I may not have even considered. Hmmmmm and thanks.

Man, your repair bills must be crazy! All the holes you've shot into your workshop over the past years... And jeez, what kind of material is that shroud made from??? After firing off a few rounds it was cool to the touch??! That's some damn fine craftsmanship! I really like the gold and blue it sets it apart from the standard mass produced energy blasters you find on the dark web now. Excellent work good sir!

Tamiya Color? I use Krylon rattle-cans because the Citadel rattle-cans are generally out of my price-range. But I also enjoy painting by hand, so I've got LOTS of the Citadel pots. I love their metallics... just tested some Canoptek Alloy on a "30 Minutes Sisters" torso, and I can't WAIT to get the REST of her built. But yeah... Retributor Armor, Leadbelcher, Balthazar Gold and Iron Hands Steel are always in my arsenal of Citadel paints. I should also get some Runelord Brass and Screaming Bell.

I know me too I just was cleaning and found a bunch of cans from a budgeted project years ago. Mostly I go Rustoleum

@@createscifi I mostly use rattle-cans as primers and undercoats. Everything else is hand-painted with Citadel paints... two thin coats, just like Duncan Rhodes taught me all those years ago. >w> The Citadel paint-range also just has cool and imaginative names for their paints.

While I love my dremel - it's not the tool for cutting plastic. It runs far too fast. You need under 6000 rpm to get clean (not melted) cuts in PLA plastic. I ended up getting a proxon multitool and variable speed controller just for this kind of stuff. Dremel works for pretty much everything else though.

You'd also be amazed what you can do with just a hobby-saw and a pair of flush-cutters.
@richbuilds_com
@richbuilds_com 2 жыл бұрын
@@thetribunaloftheimaginatio5247 Oh absolutely. A hand powered saw in the ultimate is speed/control. Razor saws are good with PLA and give a much finer cut (less material lost).
@thetribunaloftheimaginatio5247
@thetribunaloftheimaginatio5247 2 жыл бұрын
@@richbuilds_com And flush-cutters (AKA side-cutters, clippers or "Gundam Nippers") are good for trimming and getting around corners. But a Dremel or some other rotary-tool is good to have around as well. "Law Of The Instrument," after all... when the only tool you have is a hammer, everything begins to look like a nail.
