Great tutorial, again ! How do you Import the bone model STL instead of the surface scan STL to create the guide ? do you need to align it to the CBCT dicom ?

Hello, I use same method, but in case with tooth extraction I have hatd problem: registration of bite. For this I print 3 guides: 1) for pin's fixation (pleased on the tooth) 2) for reduction (after tooth extraction) 3) for implant placement 4) cast individual tray with printed tooth of patient (his tooth) All guides i fixed on same pins. In you case hard fixation of guide is missed. Do you can explane how I can fabricate multipieced guide which not have required replacement many times? One base guide and multi top separeted pieces. Sorry for my English.

Are bone reduction guides necessary when your not getting implants..?. I have bone that needs shaved down that is very obvious. Oral surgeon in Shreveport are the ones doing extractions and tori. I'm getting dentures and they don't fit.

Only one export per CASE so once you export once, you can do it as many more times as you want with no more charges.

@@JoonKimDMD Just export your CBCT data as an STL file, and import it again. But if I'm not mistaken the software should let you draw the guide on top of the CBCT 3D data just like he did, without having to export/import it.

@@rubengil6377 You must do "bone segmentation" which turns the jaw bone into a clean, watertight STL.

I'm sorry, but I do not really agree with this technique. What if the doctor when wearing the bone with the reference guide wears off more or less of the bone? It is most likely that the second printed guide with the implant rings does not sit well and is move. I think the ideal would be to do the reverse. There will be a first guide only for the pilot drill and only then there will be a second guide to wear the bone.

Then you would need two set of guides with reduction rings and another one for the reduction...not feasible, though not bad idea

It's only 1 per case..........once you've exported once, all the others are free from that same case
