You don’t need to use a lot of layers if you don’t want to…? Especially if you’re new to digital art, it can be a lot less confusing. I use lots of layers though (usually 50~150 layers), and the only reason I’m able to is because of _organization._ Use the layer colors feature, the layer groups feature, clipping masks, layer group naming and other things to make your layers more recognizable. Hold D on an area of the picture to go to that area of the painting. Organization and efficiency are everything to make digital art comfortable!
