Creating a Dyslexia Friendly School - West Thornton Primary Academy

In December 2016, West Thornton Primary Academy was awarded the BDA dyslexia friendly Quality Mark for schools, and the Inclusion Quality Mark as a Centre of Excellence for Inclusion.

Wow what a amazing brilliant documentary. Being a dyslexic my self and coming from special need school we need more school like this. The main stream non dyslexic school are failing, which has lead up to 50 percent of prison population.

when I went here, they gave me similar activities in year four- I didn’t know why, I just assumed I did somewhat bad in my work (that’s kind of why my report at the end of the year was basically me lowering my self esteem), until I saw this video I guess it turns out I’m mildly dyslexic! I really do wish they told me instead of not saying anything though..
