Perhaps the dude Lady Bugs can be called "Laddie" Bugs? 😉 Thank you for showing how you built the parallel strokes. When you showed the head-body-leg continuous path I wondered if you did the offset or built them individually. Once you turned off the sketch I could see how there was subtle variance that made it more organically "drawn" looking. As always, magnifico!

Certain styles I want the continuity offset provides, but this one needed some thick and thins. Laddie bug? LOL

New subscriber here, loved this video Von! As someone just starting to get comfortable in Illustrator this was very helpful, especially your explanation of the clockwork method!

Thank you Tyler! Years ago I had to teach locally and thought up the clockwork method. It’s not an ironclad rule, but I think it helps.
