I never fully open up a grow spot like that. Instead i make smaller patches within that large patch to keep it camouflaged. Also use a compass keeping in mind the sun angle is lower in the fall. Potentially leaving the sun behind the trees. But should be fine. Great video

hey, as an expert, do not disrupt soil equilibrium more then needed, dig only hole for 60 cm diametre for each plant, if you burry compost, leaves, wood, grass underground its ok but sun kill soil life and moisture get deadly low, so cover it with leaves at least , charcoal, bones of chicken or eggs shells, all kitchen garbage are a must for feed soil base plant support, cheer, feedd soil, like you feed is make you heathy and soil eat carbone from random plant waste and COVER THE SOIL with grass or leaves wood , sun kill soil

Never place your plants geometrically such as in straightened lines or squares. Always pick a spot that would be a living hell to get into. If not, you can always use dead branches to persuade people to go around without them knowing it. Also make sure the wind is going in the opposite direction up roads paths, etc.. pricker bushes work too.

This is waaaaaaaaaay to much work. Instead just knock down the over growth, flatten as best you can. Then cover with cardboard, cover the carboard with the surrounding forest mulch. Cut a bunch of small diameter branches, chisel point them, drive into the ground to form a raised garden bed, run some wire around the outside now fill with organic debris and top off with some compost and you're ready to plant. Raised planter beds, are super easy to keep the weeds and other pests under control & no bending over, much easier on the back. Plants will grow out the top and sides so you also get 4 x more surface area in the same foot print.

@GuerillaGrower its a common tactic here in Australia. Another tip is when you're going to water/maintain them take a digital camera/binoculars hanging around your neck so you can say your bird watching if you get seen by anyone. Another tip: bury a dead fox at your plot to keep rabbits away. The best place I ever grew was in a thick bush next to a dairy farm, the farmer next door would dump his dead cows in the bush, I grew about 20 meters away from the stinking rotten cows as no one would want to venture into that smelly bush.
