The scenic shop at Orlando Shakes created a beautiful masterpiece for "Bakersfield Mist" using Jackson Pollock's drip painting technique. Check out our video to see the artistic process in action! Tickets still available for most performances at orlandoshakes.org or at 407-447-1700 ext. 1.
Bakersfield Mist By Stephen Sachs
Fifty-something and in between jobs, Maude spends her last few dollars on a thrift store painting which she’s convinced is a Jackson Pollock worth millions. When renowned art expert Lionel Percy arrives at her trailer park home in Bakersfield to authenticate the painting, cultures and class attitudes collide. Stephen Sachs’ colorful new comic drama asks what makes art---and the people who create it---truly authentic.

I don't get it, why does everybody want to try to be somebody who has done something that you appreciate, he is dead, remakes of movie remix of paintings, the appreciation is in the eye of the beholder, and you will have to die for somebody to love your work

There is no emotion in this piece of s*** . And Jackson Pollock never use brushes!
@Dwendele
@Dwendele 6 жыл бұрын
Isidor Art actually he did use brushes sometimes. He preferred sticks, but for some patterns he would use a brush.... Or even pour directly from a container.

he did use brushes but the ones i saw had completely stiff bristles from old hardened paint

Nice try, but just slinging paint on a canvas doesn't make it a Pollock. It doesn't inspire me or evoke any emotion at all.... Well, maybe boredom.

But that's what he did! Just sling paint on a canvas. Literally anyone can do that!
