I have an astronomy sketching / art for you today and it's a timelapse of me creating a pastel drawing based on the Tarantula Nebula photography taken by the James Webb Space Telescope. I shared the photo I used as inspiration at the beginning of the video, but at the end I just show my finished sketch.
I used Stabilo CarbOthello pastel pencils and Inscribe pastel sticks. The brighter stars were added with a fine-tipped Posca acrylic paint pen in white. For blending I used a dry fluffy brush, blending stumps and cotton buds.
This took quite a while to do so I only took a photograph every 15 seconds, therefore I can't slow the video down any more than this without it being quite jerky. Hopefully you get the general idea of how I created it.
