Thanks so much, Gary. I’d done all the parts you introduced so well here on many occasions before until you got to the final point where you mentioned ‘replace’. I had never noticed it existed. How fantastic that I don’t need to build the same stages every time I want to repeat a successful mixed transition. It will save me so much time. Invaluable as always.

Thanks Gary, that was very useful. I looked at it a few days ago and I didn’t get it, but now I do. I was use to windows but the way you show it then key note is much more fun, that’s also with numbers and pages. You have to get use to it but when you do it’s so much better then Microsoft programs, thank you for the time to show this. 😊

That’s so cool. About that spinning though. In your final edit it looks like it actually rotates in 45° intervals. Can that be changed to like 22.5° ? That would give it a smoother look.
@macmost Жыл бұрын
Maybe have it go for 14 seconds instead of 7? Or even more? Adjust the number of rotations too. Then adjust the speed in iMovie for that clip to speed it up again.

Great video. I lobe how mac has so many tools that let you do things without having to buy so many additional apps. Are there better ways? yeah probably so but for someone who wants to do a simple effect for fun and are not professional editors you don't have to spend $100's. If I was doing a lot of this multiple times over and over I may opt for a third party app or even something better than iMovie but for a basic home user this is a great way to get it done and the tutorial is very well done.I'm a pretty advanced computer user but didn't know we could do this. Thanks.

Super great info Gary. Thank you. :- ) Who would have thought to use Keynote? I wouldn't. Always have to jump through hoops to do the simplest things with Mac software.
@macmost Жыл бұрын
Why would this be "jumping through hoops?" Here you are using a creative tool to do something creative. That's entirely different than doing bureaucratic work as "jumping through hoops" would imply.
@Mr.-J-2024 Жыл бұрын
No biggie Gary, It would just never occur to me to have to go to extra steps and use a presentation program for something that iMovie or maybe Quicktime or Preview should logically offer. Very confusing. If not for you and your great tutorials, I'd never figure this out by myself, as I never use Keynote or would consider it for this task.

This is great! Question: I'm still on macOS Monterey (iMovie 10.3.8) and don't seem to find a way to make the mov. file with *transparent* background. The option in the export Window isn't there. Any work-around ideas? Much appreciated!
@macmost Жыл бұрын
Make sure you have that slide (and every slide) set to have no background color. Then export as 4444 to get the option.

Great video, Gary is there a way export videos to play in "LOOP' mode on a TV? I know you can do this when exporting to a DVD, but cannot do on thumb drive. Thanks
@macmost Жыл бұрын
Video don't loop. A playback app may loop the video, but the video is just a video and doesn't have embedded instructions like "here's how I should be played."

I've done lots of them. I have a whole playlist here on KZbin (kzbin.info/aero/PL1bsBsPtN-9Q0qukEhTv_OYY3_29Cw9DK) and a whole course on iMovie if you are interested (courses.macmost.com).
