Anybody who watches your videos has to appreciate the hard work, love and dedication you put into your videos. A lot of people just see the final product and don't see what actually has to go into it to make them so awesome. I am an animation student myself so I know the struggle and it will defiantly test your patience. Fortunately we live in this age of technology and I do a lot 3D animation and I don't have to be bothered with frame by frame like this. I to pull all nights on my work passion.

Adobe CS6 is amazing on PC as well as Mac! For PC you could also try Sony Vegas. The process of a stop motion.. 1: Collect your assets (lego, paper) 2: Take a photo every time you move your asset 3: Import all of your images onto your computer 4: Using a free stop motion program import all of your photos 5: Hit play. The smaller the movements of your assets and the more photos you take, the smoother your animation will be. -James
@jamesandjackfilms11 жыл бұрын
It depends on what effect you are going for. For a smooth/slow animation you need to move your figures a very small amount each time. For a choppy/fast animation you can move them bigger amounts. If you want to show something moving slow to fast, move the figures a small amount first then every time you move the figure, increase the space. -James

Stop motion animation in the air can be quite simple with the right tools and programs. Take a photo of your character or asset in the air (held with rope, sticks etc) then take another picture without any of your characters or assets (blank slate). While editing, mask out your sticks or rope holding your character and replace the transparent background with your 'Blank Slate' image. Hey Presto :3 -James

It depends what sort of Camera you have. If it is a webcam then just hook it up and do the same process. Take a photo on some free webcam software and when you are done, import them into some sort of Animation program. -James

Watched my first video of yours last night. It was Mega Man. So stoked you followed up with this making of. I'm just getting into AE, and the CC of Adobe. Hella fun stuff. Every timelapse I've made so far ( all of 3) I've imported into lightroom, but get a very jerky feel to the finished product. I've looked for presets for 24, 30 and 50 fps, but can't find them. Have you got any pointers in that direction? Cheers, love your work.
