I think it looks like a thyme plant (or 4) allowed to go woody and trimmed nicely.

It looks Cotoneaster. Sometimes called rosewood. Japanese name 白紫檀 (Shiro Shitan or White Shitan) means a group of plants, and it’s hard to pinpoint the name in English, or in scientific name, but I read that it’s called Rosewood, too. literally same. I saw my first Asu video 4 years ago and now i've got a heavily planted fish tank and a Wabi Kusa 😂 it's honestly the best hobby you could ever get in to! Do it!!

Its called a bonsai and is very expansive and difficult to tanke care of. Especially if the tree is taken out of its natural environment. From Japan to Scandinavia for example where the temperatures are lower.
